NextMD is a new service offered by OHC designed to provide better communication with our practice.

What is NextMD?

It is a convenient, safe and secure way to communicate electronically with the appropriate OHC staff to address items such as:

  • Appointment scheduling
  • Medical questions
  • Prescription refills
  • Laboratory test results
  • Billing questions
  • Online payments

Just like your regular email, you will be able to send and receive email messages through the secure NextMD Internet portal.

How to sign up for a NextMD account

New Patients: Upon referral to our practice, you will receive a telephone call to obtain needed information for your visit. After providing the email address you will use to access your secure health care information, you will receive an email with directions and a token ID number. Using the token ID number, you will set up your account for the OHC patient portal. Enrollment must be completed within 30 days of receiving your token ID number.

Current Patients: During your office visit, you will be asked for the email address you will use to access your secure health care information. At check out you will be provided with a unique enrollment token ID number, as well as directions to the website where you can complete the setup for your account. Enrollment must be completed within 30 days of receiving your token ID number.

The NextMD messages will be answered in a timely manner, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.
