From OHC
November 11, 2013
The cure for blood cancer looks exactly like you!
November is National Bone Marrow Donor Month. The Be The Match organization is holding events around the country to get people to join the Be The Match registry.
In our Cincinnati community, bone marrow donors are urgently needed to save the lives of patients with diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, or sickle cell anemia.
You can be included on the Be The Match registry by simply filling out the registration form, and having the inside of your cheek swabbed. That’s it.
Led by OHC’s BMT team located at the Jewish Hospital Kenwood, a donor drive is being hosted to help raise awareness and funds for the over 28 million Americans diagnosed with cancer each year. We encourage you to drop by the cafeteria and learn more. Or better yet, sign up to be a donor.
WHERE: Jewish Hospital Kenwood, Cafeteria
WHEN: Nov. 22, 10am – 2pm
Contact Dannie Terre Moore at Be The Match at dmoore@nmdp.org for more information.
