While most people know the American Cancer Society (ACS) for their research, ACS does so much more. They promote healthy lifestyles to help with prevention. They research cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatments. They fight for lifesaving policy changes. They provide everything from emotional support to the latest cancer information for those who have been touched by cancer. And they do it all 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Services:

American Lung Association


The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy. Cancer Family Care


Cancer Family Care (CFC) is a nonprofit organization that helps children and adults cope with the effects of a cancer diagnosis in the family. For more than 40 years, CFC has provided therapeutic counseling, education, support, and hope to all people touched by cancer. Additional services include free wigs, therapeutic massage and Healing Touch sessions for cancer patients and at reduced rates to caregivers. Their programs are available at six area offices, and to ensure continuity of care, our social workers and counselors are glad to make house calls, when necessary. Services:

Cancer Support Community


For nearly 30 years, Cancer Support Community Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky (CSC) has been enhancing the lives of people in the local community by offering free support and services to improve quality of life and survivorship. CSC offers community-based programs and services that are intended to provide emotional and social support and education for men, women and children with any type or stage of cancer and their loved ones. CSC’s programs and services are designed to complement conventional medical care, enhance quality of life, strengthen survivor care, improve the recovery, and facilitate better communication with medical teams. CLL Society


The CLL Society is a patient-centered, nonprofit organization focused on patient education, support and research. Dedicated to addressing the unmet needs of the chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and related blood cancer communities, they explain the rapidly changing therapeutic landscape and the importance of clinical trials, support and build patient networks, engage in research and educate providers and patients. Pink Ribbon Girls


Pink Ribbon Girls provides critical services to cancer patients at their time of greatest need. This is independent of age, stage, or socio-economic considerations – because cancer doesn’t discriminate. Pink Ribbon Girls provides services and programs to those with breast and gynecological cancers free of charge. Services:

  • Meals
  • Rides to treatment
  • Housecleaning
  • Peer support and education
  • In the Fight (Simply Fight!) program which offers two months of services to clients currently undergoing breast or women’s gynecological cancer treatment for non-metastatic cancers.
  • Mets Cancers (No Age No Stage) which serves those with metastatic cancers with a stipend for direct services as needed throughout the duration of cancer treatment.
