Dr. Patel believes in OHC’s mission and recognizes the importance of placing patients first for accessibility of cutting-edge treatment. “My personal mission is to provide the same level of compassion and expert level care for my patients as if they were my own family. Having volunteered to drive my neighbor several times for expert leukemia care, I know the personal challenges.” Dr. Patel also believes that cancer care is personalized and requires a team effort to meet the needs of his patients and caregivers.

Dr. Patel has a special interest in CAR T-cell therapy and bone marrow transplant. He is published in numerous international peer-reviewed journals and has presented at numerous national meetings, including the American Society of Transplant and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT) and American Society of Hematology.

He has a master’s degree in healthcare administration with a focus on improving access and alleviating financial toxicity for CAR-T for practices and patients. He has personally worked as a chief clinical fellow to improve financial decision analysis and improve healthcare delivery for patients receiving CAR T-cell therapy at the beloved institution he trained.
