Nicole M. Melchior, DO, FACS, is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon who selected her career path based on the field’s complexity and continual advancements. She particularly enjoys collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of experts to formulate patient treatment plans for optimal outcomes.
At the core of Dr. Melchior’s patient care philosophy is her belief that every patient is unique. “Every patient’s situation is different, and each patient deserves individualized care. It is extremely gratifying to form close relationships with my patients and partner with them to develop their specialized treatment plan.” Dr. Melchior finds her work most rewarding when she compassionately helps patients navigate the nuances of their specific cancer treatment plan. “Patients are empowered when they are full participants in their care.”
Dr. Melchior prides herself on being up-to-date on all aspects of breast care and is a peer-reviewer for the journal Cancer Medicine. She specializes in hidden scar surgery and treats patients using the latest wireless technology to provide them with more comfort and convenience on the day of surgery.
In her free time, Dr. Melchior enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and baking.
