Patrick J. Ward, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist and hematologist who specializes in breast cancer, thoracic malignancies, and cancer research. He serves as Director of OHC’s Clinical Research Program and as principal investigator for breast and thoracic malignant clinical trials at OHC.
Dr. Ward’s passion for research makes a difference in the lives of his cancer patients. “I hope to convey to my patients that they are being treated by someone who is knowledgeable about the most recent advancements in cancer treatments and research. I want to give them every opportunity to participate in their care decisions with the guidance and support from all members of our cancer care team – medical, radiation, and gynecologic experts, our research team, and our team members who help them navigate through their cancer therapy, provide emotional support, and help with financial needs.”
When he’s not working, Dr. Ward likes to spend time with his family, travel, and pursue his interest in soccer and craft beer.
