FOR CLINICAL NURSES:
OHC is proud to be part of The DAISY Award program. An acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System, The DAISY Foundation was formed in November 1999 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at age 33 of complications of the Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). The nursing care Patrick received when hospitalized profoundly touched his family. They created this international award to say thank you to nurses everywhere.
Would you like to thank an OHC nurse for the extraordinary compassion and care they provided to you or your loved one? Patients and family members are eligible to nominate a nurse for The DAISY Award. OHC has recently introduced the BEE Award program. As an extension of the DAISY Award for nurses, the BEE Award recognizes extraordinary team members in non-nurse roles.
