Lindsey Miller, DNP, APRN, AGACNP, is an advanced practice provider with OHC who specializes in breast cancer, genetics, and cancer prevention. Lindsey always knew she wanted to work in healthcare and selected the field of oncology because it is changing at a rapid pace. “The treatment options available are saving lives. I wanted to work in a field that enabled me to give patients hope.” She has additional training and certifications in genetic cancer risk assessment and breast surgical oncology.
Focused on the individual needs of every patient, Lindsey is careful to listen to her patients’ concerns and places special emphasis on making sure they understand their diagnoses and plan of care. “I strive to provide clear communication, and I encourage patients to ask questions. If I am unable to answer them, I will find someone who can.” For Lindsey, “Decision-making about the care plan should be joint between the patient and provider.”
Lindsey is very active in her community, regularly attending speaking engagements related to breast cancer and genetics to spread awareness about this passionate topic. She is also a member of the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing Alumni Council. In this role, Lindsey has the distinguished responsibility of selecting the Torch of Excellence Award recipients each year.
